Originally from Colorado, Haden has lived in San Francisco since completing his MFA at the San Francisco Art Institute in 2003. His work includes drawing, painting, sculpture, video and performance. He has exhibited extensively in the United States and abroad, including London, Puerto Rico, Ireland and Ecuador, and in 2008 was one of our first residency artists. At the end of this summer Haden plans to return to his native Colorado to establish a studio of his own where he will live and host artists throughout the year.

Jesse Kauppila recived his BA in Art History from Reed College in 2007 and is currently working towards his MFA at Carnegie Mellon University. In a recent statement he writes, “Systems of abstraction alienate us from the products we use, the food we eat, economic systems and even war. I employ photography, printmaking, sculpture, curation, text, and textiles to analyze these systems so that we can better understand the world around us.” Jesse has exhibited his work extensively throughout the Unites States and Europe, and is currently teaching photography at Carnegie Mellon.
