Community update with Peter Allen Hoffmann
New to our Cow House Studios community section is a brief Q&A with former residency artist Peter Allen Hoffmann. Peter is a painter based in Brooklyn, New York. In 2005, he graduated with an MFA from Hunter College. He’s exhibited in Ireland, Germany and throughout the US. In 2008 he was one of our first residency artists, and has remained a close friend. His most recent solo exhibition Outer Space ran from May 30 – July 6, 2013 at Freight + Volume in New York. You can read our conversation here.

Community update with Amy Weiss-Meyer
We have just updated our community page to include a Q&A session with 2009 Art on the Farm alumna Amy Weiss-Meyer. As a Sophomore, she was part of our second ever summer session. Now a student at Harvard University, Amy has stayed in touch with us over the years. Amy has represented Cow House Studios at several summer fairs and even came for a visit during the summer of 2013. Community update with Jack Mernin
Jack was a student during Art on the Farm, 2009. He was entering senior year the following autumn, and made the decision to apply to art schools. Jack had his pick of schools, and decided to attend RISD where he studied painting. Now in his final year Jack kindly took the time to answer a few questions for us. Read our conversation here..
Community update with Laurie Lax
Laurie was a participant in our 2010 artist residency. She was born in Canterbury, UK 1987, and graduated in Fine Art from Bath School of Art & Design 2010. Based at BV Studios in Bristol, Laurie has exhibited nationally in London, Bristol, Chester and Dundee and internationally in Poland, Ireland and Germany. She co-founded multidisciplinary collective Sondryfolk, collaborative artist group DFW (Dowsing for Water) and is a current member of Spike Associates. You can read our conversation here…
Community update with Darragh Casey
Darragh was a visiting artist in the summer 0f 2009. Based in London, his practice continually seeks ways of challenging our habits, norms and routines. Originally from Cork, Darragh graduated from NCAD Dublin with a BA in Art & Design Education. After developing a practice as both an artist and educator he completed an MA Design (furniture) from Central St. Martin’s , London in 2012.
