The Centre for Dying on Stage #3

International Autumn Residency

Programme Dates: 11 September – 13 November 2016
Submission deadline: 10 April 2016
Selected artists contacted: 1 May 2016

We are happy to announce the open call for our 2016 Autumn residency. The Centre For Dying On Stage, curated by Kate Strain, is the third endeavour allied with her ongoing research project of the same name. Thematically, the residency aims to investigate the overlap between performance and performativity in contemporary arts practice. The 9-week studio residency will be accompanied by a series of events, to include workshops, readings, recitals, conversations, walks, dinners, and screenings. Some of these will be led by a core group of Associate Artists who will lend insight and guidance throughout the process. The Associate Artists are Orla Barry, Aurélien Froment, Dennis McNulty, Isabel Nolan, and Dick Walsh.
