“I like making things, this is the best way of describing my own practice. My work questions and exposes basic norms that we have created in our everyday lives. Why does a chair need legs? What is a cup? Why does a shelf have to be level? Questions like these are constantly drawing me to objects. These curiosities lead me to produce work that is continually re-inventing the wheel but instead of making the wheel turn better or faster, I’m creating a wheel that might not be turning at all.”
