Into the Fold 2027
Program Description
In collaboration with Creative Places Enniscorthy we are looking forward to once again offering Into the Fold, a residency for Wexford-based artists. Building on the enriched opportunities created by hosting local artists in 2024 and 2026, we are proud to contribute to a growing network of artists, developing avenues for sharing skills, ideas, and opportunities that will build solidarity among Wexford artists, lasting beyond the initial investment of the Creative Places program.
This residency will bring together six creative practitioners at Cow House for one week in March, and aspires to address a key principle of the Creative Places program: connecting artists and local communities to inspire new ideas, collaborations, and a stronger, more cohesive creative environment.
Overview
This residency will support participants' ongoing practice by providing critically valuable time and space to become immersed, research, and make new work. As with our Open Residency program, Into the Fold aims to minimize distractions to ensure highly productive studio time. Additionally, this residency is intended to foster meaningful connections for Wexford artists into the future through shared meals, studio visits, and informal discussions.
Additionally, as part of this residency, Deryn O'Callaghan, director of Creative Places Enniscorthy, will visit the studios to meet with participating artists. During this visit, she will discuss the Creative Places program and explore opportunities available to artists who wish to engage more closely with communities in Enniscorthy Town and environs.
