Artists & Curators Collaborations

Cow House Studios is available for organizations, curators, and artist collectives to host specifically proposed projects. The studio, accommodation, equipment, materials, and staff are accessible to groups from March to early June. These groups may consist of artist collectives, artist-led initiatives, curators, or other creative practitioners, including both national and international arts organizations. Cow House Studios facilitates meaningful exchanges by providing warm hospitality, exceptional facilities, and a rural setting that encourages deep focus and connection.

Hosting artist-led groups at Cow House Studios presents a unique opportunity to foster collaborative exchange in an environment that is conducive to focused work and rich with its own history. Our decades of experience running residencies enable us to curate an atmosphere that deeply engages with the surrounding environment and local community, with a local understanding that spans generations. The studios are well-equipped with the necessary tools and materials for creating new works, while also providing ample space for sharing and critiquing ideas.

Cow House Studios' commitment to familial care and attention is a means to foster deeper connections and partnerships that may not arise in more traditional settings. We actively seek collaborations with groups that facilitate exchange and mutual learning, and make special considerations for projects that consider the particular conditions of our own context here on the farm. As with all of our residency programming, we seek to collaborate with groups that exhibit exceptional artistic and conceptual merit. If you would like to discuss the possibility of collaborating with Cow House Studios, please contact us.
