Our first photos from Art on the Farm 2012

We’re thrilled to be at the beginning of another great summer. In our first few days everyone spent their time working really hard in the studio making their own cameras, printing in the darkroom and trying out some painting. We welcomed our two new pigs Sparkles and McLego to the farm, and we all had a chance to spark new friendships.

Our trip to Dublin was packed full of activities with stops at Fire Station Studios and Temple Bar Gallery, a walking tour of the significant sites of the 1916 rebellion and a film at the Irish Film Institute. During our second day we saw the Francis Bacon studio at the Douglas Hyde Galley and two photography exhibits at the Gallery of Photography and the Kerlin Gallery. We were constantly on the move, but everyone still had time to enjoy some shopping and take a few photographs. By the time the day was done everyone was glad to get back to the farm.

The last few days have been spent in the studio starting new assignments. It seems that everyone has settled in nicely, ready to take on the new week. Please have a look at our gallery of images by clicking here, and be sure to check back next sunday for more photos.
