New Scholarship Opportunities
We are delighted to announce substantial new scholarship opportunities for FieldWorks, our 12-week gap year program, and Art on the Farm, our 25-day teen summer program. Moving forward, for each session, we now award three different forms of financial support, a portfolio scholarship, and two different need-based awards. All scholarship applicants must submit a portfolio that demonstrates an advanced practice. We assess student portfolios by determining how the realization of completed artworks reflects a young artist’s curiosities, concerns, experience, and research. Please read more about each opportunity below and note the following awards do not include airfare.
Portfolio Scholarship: We award this scholarship to individuals based on the strength of the applicant’s portfolio and artist’s statement. This scholarship equals 25% of our program fees.
Need-based aid: The following two opportunities are need-based. We determine our need-based aid using a formula based on the expectation of what a family can reasonably contribute to their child’s education. We consider a family’s income, assets, place of residence, and dependents within the household. Along with our application and portfolio requirements, parents will need to submit their most recent tax return to determine eligibility.
Need-based Award: We award this scholarship to individuals based on the applicant’s financial need, the strength of their portfolio, and their artist’s statement. This scholarship equals 75% of our program fees.
Diversity Award: This opportunity is open to individuals from historically underrepresented groups both here in Ireland and abroad. We award this scholarship to individuals based on the applicant’s financial need, the strength of their portfolio, and their artist’s statement. The value of this award equals our entire program fees. No payment is due to Cow House Studios.
