Art on the Farm Information Session

Art on the Farm Information Session

Saturday, February 13th, 1 PM Eastern, 10 AM Pacific, 6 PM GMT

Each winter, we usually travel to the United States to attend fairs and visit schools to meet those interested in our programming. However, with our annual travels curtailed this season, we have instead scheduled brief 30-minute Zoom sessions, one of which is this Saturday, February 13th, at 1 PM eastern. We will discuss Art on the Farm, our summer program for teens interested in visual art. These are information sessions where Cow House Co-Directors Rosie O’Gorman, Frank Abruzzese, and guest alumni outline the program in their own words. Additionally, these sessions are a great opportunity to not only have your questions answered but hear questions from others as well.

Topics to be covered include our studios’ history and how Cow House has evolved over the years. We speak about our ethos, approach to teaching and talk about the art we admire. We go into detail about day to day activities at the studio and how our days change throughout the program. We’ll talk about the excursions that take us all over the country, the artists we meet, and the types of lessons our students can expect. We take some time to address scholarship and financial aid opportunities for our students, answering questions prospective students might have about the application process. Lastly, we’ll go over portfolio development and how our summer program can help you develop your art further during your time with us.
